The Credence in collaboration with the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB), Government of NCT of Delhi (GNCT) is providing shelter facilities to the homeless population of Delhi. Currently, the organisation is managing 3 shelter homes for the homeless which are located in Bhikaji Cama Place (R.K. Puram), Nehru Place, and
Vasant Vihar. Even though the capacity of each shelter home is around 50 persons, the occupancy has always been higher.
The Credence provides various services and facilities to the homeless in their shelter homes. Some of these are:
- Providing a safe night shelter to the homeless.
- Providing medical facilities and aid.
- Providing food. The Credence has recently set up a central kitchen that provides meals daily to the 3 shelter homes.
- Encouraging and supporting the socio-economically vulnerable and homeless persons to form self-help groups.
The Credence strives to make all the occupants at its shelter facilities comfortable and cared for. At the shelter homes, persons from all faiths and religions are embraced. Festivals of every faith are celebrated to ensure that everyone feels at home.
